CAPTURED IN SLIM AARONS PHOTOGRAPH FROM THE 60S – A STAY AT THE VILLA ARNICA
THE MOST PERFECT PLACE TO RELAX AND SHUT DOWN. SOUTH TYROL IS A SPECIAL REGION IN THE NORTH OF ITALY: WHERE WE BOTH SPEAK GERMAN AND ITALIAN, WHERE THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR – BETWEEN ITALIAN DELICACIES AND AUSTRIAN BAKING TRADITIONS. WHERE THE CLIMATE OF THE REGION OF MERANO AND ITS SURROUNDING REFERS AS GENTLE CLIMATE. THE VILLA ARNICA IS LOCATED IN THE CITY OF LANA, SOUTHERNMOST EDGE OF THE BASIN OF MERANO IN ITALY. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ITALIAN VINEYARD, THE VILLA ARNICA IS A PIECE OF HEAVEN ON EARTH. PASSING THROUGH THE GATE OF THE GARDEN, THE VILLA RE-OPENS THE DOORS OF AN ERA. JUST AS…

Creative industries reinventing timeless design
Last June, I was invited to attend the famous Vitra Summer Party during the Swiss art fair, ArtBasel. The Vitra campus is located at the border of Switzerland in the city of Weil am Rhein in Germany. It was a stunning late afternoon when the sun becomes so powerful that it starts to burn. I’ve been to the campus several times, to witness exhibitions at the Vitra Museum designed by Frank Gehry as well as the Vitra House, where they expose their offering, from design pieces to smaller decoration products. The campus abounds of architectural and design gems. Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid and, Prouvé to mention a few, built buildings…

WHEN A COUCHE BECOMES THE TRAVEL REFERENCE
LAST WEEK I VISITED PARIS WITH MY DEAR FRIEND MARIE. PARIS WAS CROWDED OR AT LEAST THE HOTELS WERE ALL BOOKED OUT. INDEED, THE FAMOUS FRENCH TENNIS TOURNAMENT ROLAND GARROS WAS HAPPENING ON THE SAME WEEK/WEEKEND AND THERE WERE OTHER FAIRS TAKING PLACE AROUND AND IN PARIS. AS I LOVE DESIGN, I THOUGHT OF BOOKING US AN HOTEL WITH A SPECIAL LOBBY, AT LEAST TO ME. THE NEW HOTEL LE VOLTAIRE LOCATED IN LE 11EME ARRONDISSEMENTS, A LOVELY NEIGHBORHOOD NORTHWEST FROM LE MARAIS AND VERY CLOSED TO THE PLACE DE LA BASTILLE, HAS A BEAUTIFUL COUCH IN ITS LOBBY. ONE OF MY FAVORITE SWISS BRAND, DE SEDE, DESIGNS INCREDIBLE SOFA.…

Get away in Ascona
So a month ago I joined my beautiful friend Maya on a two days vacay at the Eden Roc Hotel in Ascona, Ticino. The sun, palm trees, the lake, the warm temperatures and the language – Italian, yes everything is united to make you believe that you are in Italy. Well, Ascona is located in Switzerland at the border of the Italian frontier which makes your stay even better. No need to change money or anything – you’re in one of the most beautiful regions of Switzerland. Seriously, the view from the hotel is spectacular. You can read some books and chill out while having literally your bare feet in the…

Lovely Lunch at LaDurée
Not long ago I savored a delicious lunch at the new restaurant LaDurée in Geneva. As you know already from blogs, Instagram, and other newspapers, LaDurée just opened a tea-room and restaurant at the Four Season Hôtel des Bergues. The place is simply magical, it is like a fairy tale. The famous designer and architect, India Mahdavi, who also imagined the incredible pink restaurant and bar, Sketch in Mayfair, London, is the one to celebrate for the space. I am a big fan of her work, including the new Valentino showroom, and I couldn’t be happier to have such an amazing spot in Geneva. You can eat all day, taste…

Berlin With VISIONAPARTMENTS
As I just came back from Berlin, where, Forti and I had a blast, I wanted to share another dimension of our home. Nor Basel, Lucerne, St Gallen or Lausanne, but our lovely bubble in the middle of and crowded Alexander Platz. If you already have been in Berlin, you will totally understand and if not, just picture Alexander Platz as a busy, touristic and very central place. If you have seen some photographs from Berlin you probably saw the TV tower located in Alexander Platz. It was the first time for Forti to discover the German capital and maybe the fourth time for me. As always, big cities changes…

Beautiful ODYSAY
You probably have seen the previous article sharing my experience at the 5 lounge rooftop of the Métropole Hôtel in Geneva. As many of you saw my stories on my snapchat channel (fashionboho) a few weeks ago, I did spend the weekend at the hotel. It was truly beautiful. I totally fell for the design of the hotel. The room is 100% connected and just so well designed. The architecture of the building remains though and that is why it makes the hotel so special. Take the high ceilings for example, so classic and elegant they bring so much space to the room while keeping a young and modern spirit.…

Xmas Shopping List at Globus
I love holiday season! Christmas is so joyful! It’s all about spending days with your family, sharing some lovely moments and good food as well ;). Also, it is synonym to me to be in the mountains on the slopes, enjoying the fresh air and the amazing landscape of the Swiss Alps. Christmas is so magical to me. I love walking in any city and being surrounded by incredible shiny decorations and colors that make the end of the year so beautiful and cheerful. In December, I always listen to some jazz music and playlist of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, what else? Also, having a tree well decorated at…

A Night at the Marktgasse Hotel
If you are a COS lover, you might have heard or seen something happening for the past years just in front of the shop in Zürich. A brand new Hotel, the Marktgasse Hotel, has taken place and just opened its doors in the lovely neighborhood called Niederdorf. We all know Zürich and all the beautiful hotels that the city offers to her travelers, but the Marktgasse Hotel has something special to me. It is a Boutique Hotel with 39 rooms, which are different from each other and designed in a very personal way according to each plan of the room. For two years now, I have mostly checked in through…
