• Peter, the new summer apartment buddy

For those who can recall, living in an “Altbauwohnung” (apartment in an old building) in the middle of the city center can be tricky. I am the first defender of old apartments don’t get me wrong. I love to hear original wooden floor cracking under footsteps and the high-ceilings, higher than ever. If you got the kitchen and the bathroom renovated you might have won the jackpot. It’s truly charismatic and each apartment has its own vibe. The only minor detail is that often old buildings have bad isolations and windows, which means that over the summer it gets really hot and really quickly. Last summer, there was a heatwave in Zürich and it…

  • CAPTURED IN SLIM AARONS PHOTOGRAPH FROM THE 60S – A STAY AT THE VILLA ARNICA

THE MOST PERFECT PLACE TO RELAX AND SHUT DOWN. SOUTH TYROL IS A SPECIAL REGION IN THE NORTH OF ITALY: WHERE WE BOTH SPEAK GERMAN AND ITALIAN, WHERE THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR – BETWEEN ITALIAN DELICACIES AND AUSTRIAN BAKING TRADITIONS. WHERE THE CLIMATE OF THE REGION OF MERANO AND ITS SURROUNDING REFERS AS GENTLE CLIMATE. THE VILLA ARNICA IS LOCATED IN THE CITY OF LANA, SOUTHERNMOST EDGE OF THE BASIN OF MERANO IN ITALY. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ITALIAN VINEYARD, THE VILLA ARNICA IS A PIECE OF HEAVEN ON EARTH. PASSING THROUGH THE GATE OF THE GARDEN, THE VILLA RE-OPENS THE DOORS OF AN ERA. JUST AS…

  • Creative industries reinventing timeless design

Last June, I was invited to attend the famous Vitra Summer Party during the Swiss art fair, ArtBasel. The Vitra campus is located at the border of Switzerland in the city of Weil am Rhein in Germany. It was a stunning late afternoon when the sun becomes so powerful that it starts to burn. I’ve been to the campus several times, to witness exhibitions at the Vitra Museum designed by Frank Gehry as well as the Vitra House, where they expose their offering, from design pieces to smaller decoration products. The campus abounds of architectural and design gems. Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid and, Prouvé to mention a few, built buildings…

  • WHEN A COUCHE BECOMES THE TRAVEL REFERENCE

LAST WEEK I VISITED PARIS WITH MY DEAR FRIEND MARIE. PARIS WAS CROWDED OR AT LEAST THE HOTELS WERE ALL BOOKED OUT. INDEED, THE FAMOUS FRENCH TENNIS TOURNAMENT ROLAND GARROS WAS HAPPENING ON THE SAME WEEK/WEEKEND AND THERE WERE OTHER FAIRS TAKING PLACE AROUND AND IN PARIS. AS I LOVE DESIGN, I THOUGHT OF BOOKING US AN HOTEL WITH A SPECIAL LOBBY, AT LEAST TO ME. THE NEW HOTEL LE VOLTAIRE LOCATED IN LE 11EME ARRONDISSEMENTS, A LOVELY NEIGHBORHOOD NORTHWEST FROM LE MARAIS AND VERY CLOSED TO THE PLACE DE LA BASTILLE, HAS A BEAUTIFUL COUCH IN ITS LOBBY. ONE OF MY FAVORITE SWISS BRAND, DE SEDE, DESIGNS INCREDIBLE SOFA.…

  • PARIS, RUINART & VIK

A month ago I had the chance to travel to Paris and Reims with Ruinart, the oldest (1729) and famous champagne Maison. It was a dreamy experience as Ruinart is definitely my favorite champagne not only to sip but also to learn from. Indeed, every year Ruinart collaborates with an artist who creates and interprets his vision of the champagne house and its domain through several artworks. This year, Vik Muniz, the Brazilian sculptor famous for his unorthodox choices of material for his art compositions was chosen and revealed as the Ruinart’s artist 2019. After checking-in into the beautiful Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers in the 3ème arrondissement de…

  • Un voyage à Bordeaux Aux Sources de Caudalie

It has been a while that I have not been to a spa as splendid as Les Sources de Caudalie. Located in the countryside of Bordeaux you will fell in love with this place. Let me draw you the picture; drive 15 minutes away south from the city center of Bordeaux, and you will enter a magical scenery full of vineyards and castles. The region of Bordeaux (Gironde) is famous for their red wine. Almost every wine estate possesses its own castle, or vice versa. It’s a beautiful region where nature and wine will make you daydream. I highly recommend you to visit some wine estate to try some…

  • Took off to NYC one year ago

I have not really shared more of my voyage in New York, I guess I wanted to keep it for myself. My Instagram feed also changed a bit and I was mostly working or discovering the city, then the blog was not a priority anymore. 14.05.17 was a decisive date for me, that was the day I took off for my internship in New York. Or in other words my dream internship in my dream city. Indeed, I was going to work at one of my favorite label of all time The Row. In addition, to enter the very closed Fashion circle, I was going to spend some time in…

  • Côté make-up & skin care

It’s been a long time since I have posted. For those who don’t know I’ve recently started videos more and more – let’s be honest here, it’s difficult but so interesting to explore! I love it while hating it at the same time – it’s like directing the mini vision you have in your head and turn it into reality – however editing take quite some time. Anyways, I am learning and I will keep on doing so as well as publishing this article. Beauty and skin care have taken a huge part into my daily life. I want to share here my (current) favorites. I put current in bracket cause…

  • Two fall obsessions

OMG! I have been super duper busy, and it’s not over at all! I mean it is great! I only had 4 days of post-New York depression. No! I’m kidding, but you know this feeling when you come back from holidays and get back to your routine and then you’re missing your holiday-life, now you see what I mean, right? So, since I just moved in with Forti and we got our dream apartment in the best neighborhood in Zürich, I’ve been busy with the blog slash videos, the move, university stuff (or mostly commuting time) and keep on being social (at least a bit ;) haha). As I love love…
