Took off to NYC one year ago
I have not really shared more of my voyage in New York, I guess I wanted to keep it for myself. My Instagram feed also changed a bit and I was mostly working or discovering the city, then the blog was not a priority anymore. 14.05.17 was a decisive date for me, that was the day I took off for my internship in New York. Or in other words my dream internship in my dream city. Indeed, I was going to work at one of my favorite label of all time The Row. In addition, to enter the very closed Fashion circle, I was going to spend some time in…

Two weeks left
I cannot believe it, or maybe I don’t want to believe it! I have two weeks left in NYC…what a drama! I don’t feel like leaving at all. Work is great, the team is amazing, the city has still so many places to be explored, and of course my friends here. I know.. what a bitch! Nooo, don’t get me wrong here, I’m happy to go back to my family friends and love Forti, as well as to be back in the comfort of Switzerland and to finally move in Zueeeeri. I mean this is New York City and The Row that I’m talking about! Just my Dream City and…

Does magic only happen during the night?
New York City might not be the City of Lights, but to me it is! Well, let me explain it to you. New York is an amazing and large metropolis famous for its energy and vibes that would bring you anywhere amongst many other things, but the big apple by night is definitely something else. It all starts by those burning evenings when the sun slides itself in between the big allées of skyscrapers, gets so hot onto your layers and bedazzles anyone who would dare to look at it. Usually called, sunset situations. The sky becomes truly orange and everybody opposite gets a bloody sanguine tan. It does not happen every…

SPICE UP YOUR LOOK
Here is a black everything look (except for the bag) with really exciting and interesting pieces. Let’s start, from head to toes. I received this super lovely hat from A Lack of Color, for those who don’t about this brand, it is a quite famous Aussie label who creates beautiful hats. A mixture of light bohemian vibes and inspirations from the Seventies.. their hats are the Bomb! I picked this black one (I hope you know me by now) probably because of my dark hair and its fresh and Mediterranean design style. It’s called ‘Spencer Noir‘ in case you are wondering. The next very interesting item of this look is my…

NoMo with my BFF
New York is the city that gives so many opportunities and the energy within which would empower anyone.. it’s also a city where you are surrounded by people all the time..but believe me, you can feel also quite lonely sometimes. I guess it’s a weird thing that might be applied or happening in big cities. As I turned 25 (yes I did!) my best friend Laura came to visit and this was the best birthday gift. We had time to catch up and enjoy ourselves in the big apple. Honestly, I’m so happy that she came, we had a great time and lots of laughs! See you in Zürich baby!…

Le panier en Osier
Le panier en osier is THE one cute bag that you need to get this summer. Whether if you are on holiday by the Mediterranean sea or in a big metropolis as I am, this is the perfect acolyte to any outfits – I swear! So, you know.. I love thrift stores, and there is this famous one in here called, Beacon’s Closet which I used to go back in 2011. And you know what..? It’s still the same – simply great! If you are looking for cheap and renown designers or any vintage treasury you should definitely go. My bag has no tag from where it is unless that is…

Cafe Henrie
Olalala Cafe Henrie is another new discovery of my latest stay in New York. Be ready, cause I am not done yet to share adventures from my trip in the city. A little Frenchie place in between China Town and Lower East Side. Or the perfect place for having avocado toasts in the coolest atmosphere ever. I was already dying because of the colors of the furnitures in the café. Baby blue turquoise and pastel pink got me crazy and you have not tasted their food yet! Concerning the lighting piece of art, I did not realize what it was until one of the cool waitresses came to me…

Missing those Streets
One thing that I especially love about New York City is walking downs the streets in SoHo, NoHo and the villages. I mean, of course MidTown and its buildings are impressive and amazing, but you cannot compare these to the atmosphere in souther neighborhoods. This city gives you so much energy. I swear, your days are longer than anywhere else, and you don’t get to sleep much, but it does not matter, cause you are in New York. I think I never get to walk as much as I do when I am in the city. It was a day with a grey sky and I chose to wear…

Back to Dumbo
If you are visiting New York or even living in the city you should definitely go over bridges and take off to Brooklyn. To be honest I don’t know the Bronx. I know that Astoria, in Queens, is very hype but I have not hung out there that often. Something that I can assure you is that Brooklyn is a great borough. Manhattan is incredible in the way that neighborhoods have their own heritage and personality following the blocs. Brooklyn is just as great as Manhattan or even better. So many different communities live in in this part of the city. Williamsburg is until now, one of the most…

PINK AT CUSHNIE ET OCHS – NYFW
Oh.. New York Fashion Week you surprised me so well! This shoot happened right after attending Cushnie Et Ochs fashion show. I could not dream of a better show. I am not that experienced with Fashion Week yet. If you can remember, I attended two shows last February at the London Fashion Week, including Felder & Felder and Hunter. This February I was in New York and I make sure to be part of it. I am still amazed by the energy that the city takes during fashion weak. You run from one show to the other hopping that you won’t miss it. It is actually a lot of stress,…
